STALWART defender Chris Makin is fighting to shake off a thigh injury in time for Ipswich Town's attractive home friendly with Levski Sofia at Portman Road tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).
The former Sunderland man, who has been skippering the side in pre-season when Jim Magilton has been absent, will be replaced by Matt Richards if he fails to make it.
All three summer signings, Kelvin Davis, Drissa Diallo and Georges Santos, will be in action this evening against opposition tagged the "Manchester United of Bulgaria" due to their phenomenal success down the years in Eastern Europe.
