The Poolside Helpers Course offers an introduction to teaching swimming. The course covers the technical side of the four competitive strokes as well as teaching how to help with non-swimmers in the water.
Part of the course saw the pupils assist on the side of the pool with a lesson of more experienced swimmers. The swimmers who passed the course were George Rudland, Matthew Davies, Sophie Harper, Johnathan Elmer, Emma Johnston, Deborah Pugh, Bryony Henry, Matthew Naunton, Emily Prior and Fenella Foskett.
