Earlier, John Stuck, Alan Cooke and Clive Claireaux were the top scorers for the Two Counties side who declared on 194 for seven.
The annual fixture was for the Ernie Nicholls memorial trophy which was presented by his widow, Mary, to Witham.

On Saturday, the Two Counties side plays its final games in the triangular Suffolk Federation of Cricket Leagues tournament at Bury St Edmunds' Victory Ground.

DESPITE a fine unbeaten half-century by Clive Claireaux, the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Over-50s side just failed to beat Mistley in the Essex side's cricket week.
The Two Counties rattled up 204 for six while Mistley were indebted to Martin Lambert's undefeated 62 as Chris Simmons, Graham Penny and Phil Jones took seven of the eight wickets to fall.
Afterwards, Two Counties match manager Geoff Newman was presented with a painting by Mistley stalwart George Bibby to recognise his achievements in being involved with a side who are the long-serving fixture in the cricket week calendar.
