Pollitt, who made an impressive debut for Town against Norwich on Sunday, is on his way back to the JJB Stadium, after Paul Jewell activated a 24-hour clause.
It leaves Ipswich in complete chaos over their goalkeeping situation. Already Pollitt was preferred to Tommy Miller as a loan player for the next few months - now Town will have to go to Barnsley with two crocked keepers in Shane Supple and Lewis Price.
