LEWIS Price is a doubt for Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship home game against promotion-chasing Derby County.

The Wales international goalkeeper took a kick on the foot in Town's 2-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday on Easter Monday and is having extensive treatment.

Deputy Shane Supple was pulled out of the reserve fixture at Luton Town yesterday as a precaution.

“The injury is very painful,” said Price, who was left hobbling after Monday's match.

Darren Currie - on loan from Ipswich to Derby - will not be allowed to face Ipswich.

Town manager Jim Magilton is considering appealing against his two-match touchline ban and £500 fine by the FA after admitting a charge of abusive and/or insulting words towards referee Mark Clattenburg during last month's game at Preston.

“I was wrong to say what I did, but it was in the heat of the battle,” said Magilton. “I expected a fine, but to be banned for two games seems harsh especially when looking at what other managers have received for similar offences.

“It is my first offence, and I am very upset. I have two weeks to appeal.”

The ban is effective from Monday, April 23, which means Magilton will watch the Leeds and Cardiff games from the stands.

The Town boss reacted to Clattenburg adding only three minutes of injury time at the end of the game after there had been several stoppages.
