Rapid progress for Skylark course

Nine new greens and tees have been constructed and club professional Duncan Burl says that there are “some fantastic views” and says that the holes will provide a real challenge.

In these days when global warning and damage to the environment are such hot topics, it is good to hear that 500 trees are to be planted. Club members are invited to sponsor a tree which will have a protected tag. Anyone keen to be involved should contact the pro. Shop on 01449 736392).

Three guided one-hour tours for members have been arranged (limited to 15 people per tour). They will be on Saturday, February 17 (2.30 to 3.30), Tuesday, February and Friday, February 23 (both 1 to 2pm).

Ring the pro shop to book a place. It is still wet so Wellington boots will be needed.
