MELTON St Audry's Robbie Welham stole the show, contributing to the visitors' first goal and scoring an excellent second.
Straight from the kick-off the danger signs were there for Achilles as Cook and Stokes tested Richards in the home goal.
Approaching half-time Melton player Lennard hit the post with a thunderous drive prior to Grimwood testing McKenna at the other end.
The second period started with a goal, with Welham supplying the cross for King's bullet header. Cook should have had a second, but the referee adjudged him offside.
After recovering from a good penalty shout with Fryatt being fouled in the box Welham took matters into his own hands, passing six Achilles defenders before beating the keeper.
Achilles then had a good spell but the Melton forwards continued to keep keeper Richards gainfully employed, although beaten by Nathan Coote his effort struck the post.
