BRYAN Robson's 22-month reign as manager at West Brom is over.
THE former England captain parted company with the club by "mutual consent" this morning.
Robson had come under fire from a section of Baggies supporters at the end of Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Southend.
And less than 48 hours later he has left the Hawthorns only seven games into the new campaign following West Brom's relegation from The Premiership in May.
A statement issued by the club said: "The board would like to thank Bryan Robson for his efforts during his 22 months in charge and wishes him well for the future.”
Chairman Jeremy Peace said: "After much deliberation, and in view of the results since early 2006, it has been decided that a change is necessary if the club is to achieve its aims for this season and beyond.
