NEEDHAM Market suffered a blow to their Jewson League First Division promotion hopes when they lost at rivals and Suffolk Senior Cup finalists Haverhill last night.
The home side went back into second place after a decisive 2-0 win against a side who had done well to beat leaders Norwich United at Bloomfields last Saturday.
The first goal came after just eight minutes, an inswinging corner by Cogger flicked into the opposite corner of the net by M Hunt.
Needham's best opportunity came on 28 minutes, a 15 yard shot by Rickwood going just wide.
The second goal came a minute later, the ball pinging about in the Needham half before falling to Cogger.
He turned on to his left foot before floating the ball over goalkeeper Fenn from 20 yards and in off the top of the upright.
