IPSWICH Town manger Jim Magilton today confirmed that he expects to keep an unchanged team for tomorrow's home match with Southend United.

Ipswich will be looking to win their third consecutive championship match, only having achieved this once before this season.

Ironically, that run began with a 3-1 victory at QPR and was followed by 2-1 home wins over Southampton and Coventry.

If Ipswich had beaten Colchester on September 29 they would have gone second in the table in what was the best period under Magilton so far.

Town beat Rangers 2-1 at Portman Road last Saturday and followed that with a convincing 5-2 thumping of Hull City on Tuesday.

Southend come to Portman Road tomorrow (kick off 3pm) likely to be facing an Ipswich team full of confidence.

Magilton said: “My players deserve another crack and it is important that we keep this run going.”

Striker Jonathan Walters has had a scan on a hamstring problem and he may be left out of the squad to rest him for next Tuesday's game at Preston.

“We will not take any risks with Jon and if he is not right we will give him a weekend's break,” said Magilton.

“Billy Clarke has shown a lot better attitude in the last few weeks and has been a lot brighter and he will probably sit on the bench if Jonathan doesn't make it.

“Fabian Wilnis will be included in the squad after making his comeback on Wednesday in the Suffolk Premier Cup game at Ipswich Wanderers when he showed a fantastic attitude and gave further evidence of what a top notch professional he is.”
