A LAST-ditch goal from leading scorer Sammy Jones won St Albans the Suffolk Schools girls Under-14 Cup. They came from behind to win 3-2 with Sammy netting in the last few seconds.

She said: "I did not know what to do. I had the ball and saw the goal, and thought what the heck."

Sammy has scored 14 goals for a side that contained five year seven players, one year eight and one year nine. This means that in two years time five players will still be eligible for a competition that began last season.

Westbourne were the first winners. St Albans had to play a host of matches to get to the final, where the beat Stowupland in a thrilling game to win the coveted trophy.
