The Suffolk Volleyball Association will be holding its sixth annual Suffolk Open grass tournament on Sunday and are expecting over 20 four-a-side teams across two divisions from across East Anglia and beyond.

The tournament will be held at Chilton Fields Sports Club in Stowmarket, home of Stowmarket’s Rugby and Cricket Clubs. Play is due to start at 10:30am and refreshments will be available all day.

It is hoped that this friendly tournament will build on the success of previous years, with many former winners in both divisions in attendance. There are also plenty of new teams including those from Suffolk’s three new clubs: Bury Bobcats, Ipswich Ravens and Haverhill Hornets.

After the Suffolk Open, most of Suffolk’s clubs will be holding regular free outdoor sessions throughout the summer which are part of Volleyball England’s nationwide Go Spike campaign which aims to get more people playing volleyball.
