SPARTACUS is looking to continue his winning run in London on Saturday night.

The Bramford professional boxer takes on Solomon Hetata of Montenegro at the York Hall in Bethnal Green.

Spartacus, real name Steve Smith, is out to make it ten wins out of ten since turning professional and for the first time he is up against a foreign opponent.

He said: "All I know about him is that he has won seven out of eight fights and has never been stopped. I'm expecting a difficult contest and am training hard for it."

The biggest battle of late for the Suffolk fighter has been fitness. He has been under treatment for a rib injury at Ipswich Town Football Club with physiotherapist David Williams.

A big following of fans will be backing the unbeaten Spartacus and he is enjoying sponsorship for this fight from Guy Nicholls of the Ipswich company, Trucks 'R' Us.

He added: "170 of my fans have bought tickets for the fight. They are all fantastic, but there are still some left."

Anyone interested in going to the East London show should ring 07801 580320.

Meanwhile, Suffolk's British and Commonwealth super-middleweight champion David Starie, is looking forward to more action next Tuesday night at the York Hall.

He is taking on Kitty Warren of America.

It was planned for him to defend the Commonwealth crown, but a suitable opponent could not be found.

Warren, who hails from Jacksonville, has won ten of his 17 fights.

Starie is hoping for a world title shot of some sort early next year.
