IPSWICH Evening Star Witches promoter John Louis has welcomed the continuation of the Evening Star's sponsorship of the speedway club.
It will be the ninth consecutive year the newspaper has been Ipswich's main sponsor.
Louis said: “Other clubs acknowledge that we receive better coverage from the Evening Star than they receive from all their media sources.
“And it is fantastic that it is going to continue.
“It helps open up the community for us, and is what sponsorship is all about.
“We are able to do promotions and offers and they all work very well.
“We plan to announce our team partners in the New Year.”
Nigel Pickover, editor of the Evening Star, said: “Speedway in Ipswich is high profile and we are proud to continue our association with the Witches.
“Thousands in the area keep tabs on what the Witches are doing, and we plan to continue to keep them informed first and foremost.”
“At the same time we wish the club every success next season.”
