Suffolk boxing professional David Starie will be defending his Commonwealth crown in South Africa in April. It will be against an opponent to be announced.
The former Hurstlea-Kerridge Club amateur, who lives at Elmswell, is relinquishing his British crown so that he can concentrate on the world scene.
Starie is now back in training with manager Gordon Holmes after a break.
