Leiston club captain David Head is excited for the future of the club after the appointment of new management duo Steve Pitt as head coach and Steve Ball as assistant manager.
Chairman Andy Crisp announced the news to supporters following the club’s 3-0 defeat to Wealdstone in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy on Saturday.
Ball held a similar role at the club between 2010 and 2012 and Head is looking forward to re-uniting with the ex pro who lists Arsenal, Colchester, Norwich and Cambridge United among his former clubs.
“I’m excited. I don’t know much about Steve Pitt so it’ll be interesting but I’m looking forward to it,” said club captain Head, who has been at the heart of the defence since joining the club in 2008.
“I’ve always got on really well with Bally, all the boys have and with him coming back it’s a big bonus. He’s a top man and a great coach.”
