Stowmarket Cricket Club’s pre-season tour is only two weeks away, its members travelling to Durham to play Sedgefield in a two-day match over the weekend of April 5 and 6.

Meanwhile, Two Counties league action starts on Saturday 19 April when the 1st XI travel to Kelvedon & Feering, while the second team entertain Battisford at the SCG (Stowmarket Cricket Ground). Stowmarket’s Hunts Bats league commences the following weekend against Battisford.

In addition to running three weekend teams and a midweek team, Stowmarket will also be playing Under 11, 13 & 15 teams in the newly-formed Suffolk Youth leagues and playing friendly, but competitive, Under-nine matches against other local clubs.

Stowmarket Cricket Club has reduced membership fees to attract new members of all ages and ability for the 2014 season. For further information please contact Clive Witherly on 01359 240019 or e mail wigg51@btinternet.com.
