Stowmarket Swimming Club swimmers added to a record number of Suffolk County Qualifying times this weekend at the Sudbury Last Chance Open Meet.Fifty-two swimmers from the mid Suffolk club competed across all ages and in all events to gain more than 30 qualifying times for the county championships held later this spring at the Crown Pools, Ipswich.
Stowmarket Swimming Club swimmers added to a record number of Suffolk County Qualifying times this weekend at the Sudbury Last Chance Open Meet.
Fifty-two swimmers from the mid Suffolk club competed across all ages and in all events to gain more than 30 qualifying times for the county championships held later this spring at the Crown Pools, Ipswich. The additional times added to the 70 already achieved by the club's swimmers so far this season.
First time qualifiers included John Adams, Rachel Allen, Harriet Chidwick, Julie Edwards, Bethany Jeffries, Stuart Lambert, Sophia Morris, Natalie Samuels, Lisa-Marie Wells, Sarah-Jane Wells and Christian Wake.
Stowmarket swimmers recorded over 50 personal best times, also a club record for an Open meet.
