SKIING: Three Suffolk junior skiers are in the top flight of European youngsters after obtaining first class results in recent championships in Austria.

THREE Suffolk junior skiers are in the top flight of European youngsters after obtaining first class results in recent championships in Austria.
All three are part of the Ipswich based Viking Ski Team. The races took place in Kaunertal and Pitztal, Austria.
Carly Phillips, aged 13, came first in her age group in the British Alpine Championships in the Super Giant Slalom.
She was also second in her age group in the British Alpine Championships in Giant Slalom. Carly is also a member of British Children's team.
Jenna Gregory, 15, was third in her age group in the English Alpine Championships in Super Giant Slalom.
Elizabeth Palfrey, aged ten, was third in her age group in the English Alpine Championship Giant Slalom.
Chairman of the Vikings squad and managing director of the team's main sponsor, Wallis Shipping, Stuart Gregory, said: "This is a fantastic set of results from our skiers, which we hope will encourage many more youngsters to get involved in the sport and join us at Vikings.
"We are thrilled that the hard work by Carly, Jenna and Elizabeth has paid off for them. Our team is now well set for competing on snow next season."
The Viking teams is currently competing in the Eastern Region dry slope summer league.
