FOUR first half goals at Letchworth put Suffolk on the way to a win which put them on top of the Under 16 section of the East Anglian Counties Championship.
Lane headed Hertfordshire in front before a long range shot from Barber dropped just under the bar for the equaliser. Lane broke through to score again for the home team but Suffolk then scored three times in a six minute spell with Harrald netting following a corner before Deacon and Barber, with a great effort from 35 yards, made it 4-2 at the interval.
The second half was much quieter with the only goal coming when Smith reduced the deficit for Hertfordshire 20 minutes from the end. Suffolk then defended soundly to maintain their advantage.
