IPSWICH Town crashed to another home defeat today after being defeated by Newcastle United.

A goal in the 20th minute by Nol Solano left the Tractor Boys firmly rooted to the bottom of the table with a worrying gap between themselves and Premiership safety getting wider and more difficult to bridge.

They now have two away games against Aston Villa and Tottenham before they return to Portman Road for a crucial match on Boxing Day against Leicester City.

Meanwhile, they were paired against either Exeter or Dagenham and Redbridge in the third round of the FA Cup.

They will have to travel to Devon or London to play the game on the weekend of January 5, 6 and 7.
