GEORGE O'Callaghan has signed an 18-month deal with Ipswich Town.
The 27-year-old attacking midfield completed the move from Cork City after the two clubs agreed a deal, believed to be in the region of £60,000, earlier this week.
O'Callaghan is expected to go straight into the Blues squad to face Colchester United on Saturday, once international clearance has been received.
The former Port Vale flair player has been training with the Blues since November and even though Hull City, Slavia Prague, Dunfermline, Hibs and Sunderland all wanted him, O'Callaghan stuck with Ipswich and has now been rewarded.
