COLCHESTER United extended their unbeaten run in the Championship to five games as they collected a deserved point at Leicester City this afternoon.

It was a game of few chances, but the U's easily held out. The home crowd booed their side off the pitch at the end.

Karl Duguid missed the best chance of the game, when firing wide in the 47th minute, and the visitors also had appeals for a penalty turned down late on when Chris Iwelumo appeared to be held back in the box. Referee Clive Oliver waved play on and Jamie Cureton's final shot was blocked.

Having lost their first four games in the Championship, the U's are now on a roll, having gathered 11 points from a possible 15 in their last five fixtures.
