Ipswich Wanderers 3 Tiptree 1
WANDERERS gained a much needed and well deserved win on their return to league action.
Wanderers welcomed back Andrew Coote after suspension and he combined well with Daniel Smy.
The first half saw an even encounter with Baker, Bickers and Smy all going close for the home side while Barefield missed an excellent chance for the visitors, failing to score from just a couple of yards out after a good cross from Wareham.
The deadlock was broken after 43 minutes when Bickers crossed to the far post, Buck knocked the ball back and Baker volleyed home from just inside the penalty area.

Wanderers enjoyed the better of the early second half and after 50 minutes Smy doubled the lead when he chipped Bavester from long range.
Smy then fired just over before Wanderers added a third when a fine run from Downes saw him cut the ball back from the by-line for Baker to tap home.
Tiptree pulled a late goal back from Battell when he headed home from a corner but Wanderers held on to ease their relegation fears.
