IT was a great night for three Ipswich Evening Star assets in the Polish Grand Prix in Bydgoszcz on Saturday.
Tomasz Gollob set 20,000 of his home fans alight with a magnificent victory while Scott Nicholls cemented his place in next season's series. Jarek Hampel did his chances of a nominated place for 2004 no harm at all.
But for a fourth Witches asset, Tony Rickardsson, it was a speedway GP to forget. The Swede scored just six points and his chances of equalling Ivan Mauger's record six world titles this season has virtually disappeared.
