IPSWICH Evening Star Witches are to select their British League Cup speedway side from a squad of ten riders.
This is the maximum number allowed and included in the squad will be Chris Louis, Danny Bird and hopefully Ben Howe.
A contract has been sent to Crawley-based Howe and if he signs he is the likely rider to join Paul Hurry, Chris Slabon, Tom P Madsen, Daniel Nermark, Kim Jansson and Daniel King in the first choice side.
Howe is still keen to get fixed up with a Premier League club, but there is nothing to stop him riding for Ipswich as well – as long as both clubs are not in the same League Cup group.
Three of Ipswich's foreign contingent – Jarek Hampel, Slabon and Jansson – arrive in Suffolk on Tuesday in readiness for next week's press and practice days at Foxhall Stadium.
