RUGBY UNION: Woodbridge have not done very well this season and face the prospect of having to win at least three out of their remaining five games to avoid relegation.

WOODBRIDGE have not done very well this season and face the prospect of having to win at least three out of their remaining five games to avoid relegation.

Of the five, three are at home starting with Thetford tomorrow.

Last time the two teams met Thetford ran out winners against a Woodbridge side that was missing several key players.

Fortunately that situation doesn't arise for this game as the home side are able to put out a full 1st XV apart from their captain, Tony Owens, who was injured on duty on Wednesday morning and will miss the rest of the season, the very experienced John Yorke takes over the captaincy.

The latter partners Tim Percival in the centre with Barney Harper and Matt Parker on the wings. Ian Rafferty moves from fly half to full back, as John Cummings has returned from holiday, and, as usual, Ed Johnson at scrum half. Hall, Gibson and Saunders provide a stable front row in front of Quant and Price at lock.

Gary Cunningham drops back to fill the No 8 position alongside Nick Yates and Martin Pratley.

With Tim Johnson and Duncan Kelly on the bench, the club are looking forward to entertaining the visitors from Norfolk.
