Woodbridge Town a looking to put together a new under-14 team to play in the Eastern Junior Alliance League next season.

The current crop of under-14 players are approaching the end of a very successful debut season at Junior Alliance level.

The squad, made largely of players from St John's Football Club, are currently placed second in the table and have reached three cup semi-finals.

Manager Chris King said: “At the start of the season we did not know really what to expect, but being a part of Woodbridge Town's set-up and pitting our wits against the likes of Chelmsford City, Leyton and Maldon Town has been a great experience.

“The boys have learnt so much and are better for the experience. It has challenged them which has helped in their own development as players.”

Club secretary Daniel Frost is now keen to hear from any talented players, currently at U13 level, who may be interested in playing at a higher standard of football next season.
