WILL Wright is the new Rushmere club champion.

The 22-year-old shot rounds of 69 and 71 – level par for 36 hole – to win by two shots.

Will was overlooked for the Hambro Cup side this year that lost in the final to Stoke-by-Nayland.

The 22-year-old shot rounds of 69 and 71 – level par for 36 hole – to win by two shots.

Will was overlooked for the Hambro Cup side this year that lost in the final to Stoke-by-Nayland. He had to beat a quality field that included the likes of Suffolk county players Danny Barton, James Wright and Michael Buck as well as promising teenager Andrew Robinson.
