We’re now halfway through the second lockdown and I’m now feeling both optimistic and pessimistic about the world we will emerge into once the current restrictions end on December 2.

I’ve never been a fan of Donald Trump and I was disappointed when he was elected President of the USA four years ago. I think the world will be a better, and safer, place with Joe Biden sitting in the White House.

So here we are, back in lockdown and facing a grim winter with little to really look forward to – because the festive season is going to feel anything but festive as it looks like we’ll have to do most of our socialising by Zoom or Microsoft Teams, writes Paul Geater.

This week we had confirmation of the 15 Ipswich projects that are being put forward to the government for funding from the £25m Town Deal funding that is due to come this way from the scheme that was announced just before the General Election was called last year.
