Food-lovers came out in force to sample a range of Bangladeshi delicacies at the annual Pita Festival on Sunday.
The festival, organised by the Bangladeshi Support Centre, was held at Suffolk New College from 12-4pm, where the nation’s traditional sweets and savouries, costumes, jewellery and body art took centre stage.
Among the festivities was a pita competition where entrants aimed to impress with their colourful creations, as well as a children’s magician, jewellery stall and henna art stand.
Staff also handed out educational awards to recognise the achievements of those who have been supported by the centre.
Hundreds from across the region gather for the occasion, which this year celebrated its fifth anniversary.
