The family packed audience were transported to Amber Island and the opening of the Dinosaur Investigation Centre, where professor McCoy’s research has brought two real life tyrannosauruses back from extinction.

Before the opening though, the professor’s daughter Alex and his two assistants first had to rescue the professor, whose plane had crashed on the other side of the island. After a night camping in the forest the adventure really begins with the discovery of dinosaur eggs.

T-Rex Dana and Dexter are who we’ve really come to see though and are the real stars of the show.

Although more dino action may well have held my four-year-old daughter’s attention longer, especially during the first act when there are limited dinosaur appearances and disappointedly only two dinosaurs. However, with the birth of the baby T-Rex in the second half and more audience interaction this kept her interest to the all-to-soon end.

Jurassic Adventures was throughly enjoyed by my kids, who are the real reviewers and they gave it a thumbs up! It was A great start to the school holidays.
