What a brilliant night from start to finish.

The audience, from youngsters to those in their 60s and over, rocked the night away to all the hits of Freddie Mercury and co.

Lead singer Gary Mullen’s energy levels didn’t flag once the whole evening, it was impossible to not be carried along with him and his band The Works.

They played all the greatest hits, with the Elvis number Jailhouse Rock thrown in towards the end of the first half. Halfway through the first part the audience were encouraged to stand up and party, with Mullen encouraging everybody to sing along with him.

There were a couple of instrumental pieces to show off the talents of the lead guitarist and the drummer too.

Saving a couple of their best known songs for the encore, everybody was up on their feet singing, clapping and really enjoying the experience which was over far too soon. We could have happily watched them for the rest of the night.
