The mighty Thunder are heading to the Ipswich Regent next year.

Forming in 1989, they’ve notched up some 20 top 50 singles; earning themselves a well-deserved reputation as great live performers.

Praised by thelikes of Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith and Whitesnake’s David Coverdale, their first two albums Back Street Symphony and Laughing On Judgement Day were both certified Gold in the UK.

“After the arena shows in 2015 and 2016 we decided when we played the UK again it would be great to take it back to where people live and this is our longest UK tour for years,” said frontman Danny Bowes.

“We’re looking forward to playing in theatres again and of course the new album will be out by then, so I’ll be relying on the fans to learn all the words, mostly so they can remind me when I muck them up.”

You can expect many of the hits plus tracks from their follow up to the 2015 top 10 hit album Wonder Days, described by Classic Rock as “brilliant… A massive reminder that class is both timeless and incandescent”. The as-yet-untitled album is due to be released next February.

They play the Regent on March 26. Tickets go on sale from 9.30am, September 23.
