Roy Chubby Brown’s latest tour kicks off at The Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe, this week.

The original bad boy of British Comedy said: “I’ve never had stars in my eyes, I just like working and making people laugh.”

Known for his often blue material, Les Dawson once told him he’d get his own TV show if he wasn’t so outrageous. He’s gone on to entertain audiences around the world and sold countless recordings of his live shows.

Chubby’s life reads like a soap opera script. He left school with no qualifications, was homeless before he was 16, spent time in a detention centre, borstal, jail and drifted from job to job including a spell in the merchant navy. Then came comedy.

He performs at the Spa from 7.30pm, Thursday.
