This Saturday’s Sensational 60s Experience at the Ipswich Regent has been cancelled because of the bad weather.

The promotor contacted the theatre yesterday morning asked for it to be postponed. Standard cancellation fees will apply and the Regent will be in touch with customers who have bought tickets.

A Regent spokesman said: “We accept the promoter’s position, which is understandable as the performers would have to travel to Ipswich from a number of locations and might not get here even if our audience could.

“We apologise for the inconvenience.”

The show stars Mike Pender, the original voice of The Searchers; Chris Farlowe, Herman’s Hermits, The Fortunes and The New Amen Corner.

It’s also been announced Roy Chubby Brown will now perform at Felixstowe’s Spa Pavilion on May 2 instead of tonight.
