SUFFOLK: Snow-covered Southwold beach huts and picturesque scenes of Suffolk are just some of the images entered into a competition organised by a regional charity.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) launched the competition in October 2009 for amateur and professional photographers to show their county at its best.

The winning photos will form part of the EAAA’s special range of Christmas cards and a fun-raising calendar for next year.

Simon Gray, the EAAA’s chief executive said: “We’ve had a great response to our competition so far and we’re delighted to have received some really wonderful images.

“Given the calibre of entries already received, I’m sure that judging them will prove both a pleasure and a challenge.”

It costs 3million per year to keep the charity’s two air ambulances flying with the necessary supply of the advanced clinical equipment they carry.
