Take your family along to a new fitness festival, which will feature four arenas all packed with exciting events and classes. Most of the classes are open to children of all ages and Gorilla kids will be running classes for six to 12-year-olds. There will be opportunities to be put through your paces by the Army Reserves, enjoy a dancercise class or CrossFit. Unusual sessions include Goat Yoga with Diana Malone and pole-dance fitness. If you’re a fan of legendary band The Kinks, start the weekend in style with a great line-up featuring former members. This line-up features former band members Mick Avory, the original drummer from 1964-84, John Dalton, and Ian Gibbons, with Dave Clarke on guitar and vocals (formerly of the Beach Boys, Noel Redding and Tim Rose). An Evening with the Three Chordettes, The Manor Ballroom, Ipswich, July 13

Get ready for some vintage jazz and swing from The Three Chordettes, a three-piece female vocal group featuring singers from Ipswich and Colchester. The fundraising event is a celebration of the fifth birthday of Unscene Suffolk, a theatre company for visually impaired people. This popular pub is staging its annual family fun day this weekend, including a children’s disco, a gladiator arena and a bouncy castle. There will also be activities including face painting and balloon modelling, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse mascots will be there to dance and join in the fun. the event starts at 12 noon. More than 50 years of music from one of the UK’s most iconic bands is re-created in this acclaimed show. Starting at 7.30pm, the production will feature more than two hours of songs from classic albums including Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall and many more. Strike up the band! A series of free band concerts in the Upper Arboretum at Christchurch Park, near the Henley Road entrance, starts on Sunday.
