Whitsun Fayre, Bury St Edmunds - Sunday-Monday, 10am-4pm

There will be fun for all the family at this year’s event with attractions including a beach in The Traverse, motorsports show on Angel Hill, a Formula 1 simulator, a mini farm in Abbeygate Street, children’s board games and fairground rides.

Festival of the Naked Sheep, Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm - Monday, 10am-5pm

The festival celebrates the rare breed sheep’s annual haircut and everything the fleece can be used for.

Visitors will be able to watch live sheep shearing demonstrations, help prepare and roll fleeces, have a go at felting, weaving, knitting and crocheting and enjoy a BBQ.

Entry costs £7 for adults, £3 for children aged four to 16, and children under four go free.

L is for Love...Love Your Zoo, Africa Alive! - all weekend, 9.30am-5pm

As part of the zoo’s BIAZA Love your Zoo celebrations, visit the attraction to discover the A to Z of zoo life.

Bushcraft Quiz Trail, Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds - all weekend, 10am-3pm

Test your bushcraft and survival knowledge on a woodland trail through Nowton Park and pick up a prize from the visitor centre at the end.

There is no need to book and quiz sheets cost £1 from the visitor centre.

Fun at Flux Freestyle, Ipswich - Monday, 10am-8pm

Keep the children occupied with a bouncing session at the only trampoline park in Suffolk.

Beccles Food and Drink Festival, town centre - Saturday, 10am-4pm

The third festival will feature more than 50 stalls selling a range of cooked and raw food, pickles, preserves, oils and other items.

There will also be a variety of demonstrations and talks in a cookery theatre, children’s entertainment including story-telling, facepainting and Punch and Judy.

EACH Colour Dash, Christchurch Park, Ipswich - Sunday, 10am

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice’s original Colour Dash is returning for a fourth year.

Entrants can walk, jog or run 5k as colour pirates shower them in colourful powdered paint.

Registration is open from 10am and the run starts at 11am. All adult runners will be provided with a white T-shirt, children should bring their own.

It costs £20 to enter.

St Osyth N Gauge Model Railway Show, St Osyth Village Hall - Saturday, 11am-4.30pm

Families can enjoy a miniature model railway show.

There will be plenty of exhibits to watch and some stalls to buy from.

Entry costs £4 for adults and £2 for children.

Brightlingsea Regatta, Boat Show and Fireworks, Brightlingsea Sailing Club - Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm

A free weekend of fun, boating, food and drink, displays, entertainment, bargains and much more is on offer at the regatta.

The fireworks display will take place at 9.30pm.

The event is free but donations can be made to Brightlingsea 4Youth.

Mersea Island Food, Drink and Leisure Festival, Essex Outdoors Mersea - Saturday and Sunday, 11am-5pm

The festival is a celebration of local food and drink, a showcase for artists and local performers.

Activities will include an aerial walkway, climbing wall, zipwire, bouncy castle, hamster balls and craft workshops.
