A real Christmas tree is returning to Ipswich Cornhill this year. We asked people in Ipswich what they thought of the plans.

For the last few years Ipswich has had an artificial bauble tree in the Cornhill.

This year it is being relocated to Ipswich Waterfront, and it will be the first time that that area has had it’s own Christmas tree.

The real Christmas tree is coming from Elveden Forest and will be lit up when the Christmas lights get switched on Thursday, November 16.

The Christmas market will return to the town centre on December 8,9, and 10,

The stalls will line the streets around Giles Circus and Queen Street, selling festive food, drink, decorations, gifts, sweets, hot food and lots of other goodies.

A funfair will also be on hand for families to enjoy as well as live entertainment and a children’s craft fair.
