X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson and comedian Jasper Carrott are the latest acts coming to Ipswich.
Ferguson will be performing tracks from third album Lady Sings the Blues, which went straight into the top 10 on its release. It features her version of songs recorded by the legendary Billie Holiday, some of which featured on Holiday’s iconic record of the same name.
It was produced by Troy Miller, who has worked with Amy Winehouse, Rumer, Laura Mvula, Dexys Midnight Runners, Chaka Khan and Gershwin recomposed. First single Get Happy is available now. Ferguson, pipped to the post by Essex’s Matt Cardle in the seventh series of the hit ITV1 show, is at the Ipswich Regent next January 27.
Comedian Carrott will be inviting Ipswich Regent audiences to Stand Up and Rock this September 19. He will be joined by The Bev Bevan Band and Rockin’ Berries lead singer Geoff Turton.
