Britain’s Got Talent finalists Jack and Tim Goodacre have joined the Sunday line-up of Jimmy’s Festival.
The son and father singing duo, from Eccles, near Attleborough, will stage a sing-along to a few of their avourite songs and preview some original material at Jimmy’s Farm, Wherstead.
“The biggest change is everyone knows you... the responses we get are lovely and sometimes comical. It’s fun,” said Tim.
In their audition, performing their song The Lucky Ones, they were given the golden buzzer by judge Simon Cowell, which put them straight through to the live shows.
Ater performing another song they had written - Big Wide World - in the semi-final, they were voted in the top three most popular acts by the public.
Votes from Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden sent the pair through to the final.
They are a familiar sight performing on the streets of Norwich, with Jack being hailed the city’s youngest busker.
He’s also appeared on The Voice Kids, where he was coached by McFly star Danny Jones; and performed as Zack Mooneyham in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End adaptation of School of Rock.
Tim works as a singer/songwriter and music producer.
“Hopefully the set will be fun. We don’t like to take ourselves too seriously really, we like to make people smile. We’re looking forward to performing and, of course, as both Jack and I have good appetities the food.”
Jimmy’s Festival runs July 21-22.
Music acts include Paul Young, The Bluetones, Happy Mondays, RATS and more. Cooking up a storm at the Woodforde’s Kitchen, hosted by Joe Hurd, will be the farm’s head butcher Jonny Farrell, Ginger Pig’s Jessica Wragg, Hardeep Singh Kohli, DJ BBQ and more.
