A 58-year-old carer accused of stealing items worth more than £10,000 from women she was caring for has had her case adjourned so a psychiatric report can be prepared on her.

Susan Ogden, of Cambridge Road, Felixstowe, was due to have entered pleas to the charges at a hearing at Ipswich Crown Court today.

However her barrister Laura Kenyon requested that pleas shouldn’t be taken from her client until a psychiatric report had been prepared on her.

Judge John Devaux agreed to adjourn the plea and trial preparation hearing until September 28.

Ogden faces seven offences of theft between September 2015 and April this year of items including jewellery and prescription medicine.
