A roller-skating rink that closed down after more than three decades is set to return for one day only.

DX's Rollerworld Roller Rink, formerly of Colchester, is gearing up to feature at Inspire in just a couple of weeks.

A team of volunteers have helped owners Anne and Jason Khan host a number of local events, with the September 9 event to be the first in Suffolk.

Priory Heath councillor Ruman Muhith said: "Ipswich residents, young and old alike, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Rollerworld at Inspire.

"The allure of Rollerworld's 80's disco rollerskating vibe has me thrilled, and I'm confident that the entire community will share in this excitement.

"It promises to be an unforgettable day of nostalgic fun and vibrant energy for everyone in Ipswich."
