A new gym coming to Ipswich is set to open in June this year it has been announced.

JD Gyms has announced it will open in June, moving into the former Argos store in Suffolk Retail Park in London Road, Ipswich.

The space has been vacant since 2022 when the Argos store shut.

The new state-of-the-art facility will feature some of the industry's best equipment.

The 20,000 sq ft gym will include one of the area's largest free weights zones, Eleiko functional zone, sled track, dedicated glute area and saunas in the changing rooms.

Hundreds of classes will also be on offer, and the gym is set to operate 24/7.

Managing director of JD Gyms, Alun Peacock said he was looking forward to opening the new gym in June.
