A giant 13-foot puppet wowed crowds on the Cornhill as plenty enjoyed the first Ipswich Weekender of the year.

Thousands of people took to different venues over the weekend to enjoy the activities on offer around the town.

Eko the Sea Giant, the main attraction of the weekend, had plenty of people watching him as he walked around the Cornhill.

Performing as part of Austin Dance Theatre's outdoor show Out of the Deep Blue, the 13-feet puppet could be seen walking around amazing those watching on.

Butterbear was also seen in the Buttermarket, hosting a craft event on March 23.

Community Hub Ipswich (CHIp) also celebrated its second birthday with a craft and art drop-in event on March 24.

Buskers were also able to showcase their skills across the town centre, delighting town goers with their music.
