She has been training almost daily since January and is now determined and ready to go.

Richard Platt, the chairman of the Ipswich Deaf Children's Society, was thankful to Ms Partridge for her efforts.

He said: "We at IDCS are ever so excited at the thought of Cameron Partridge running for our charity at the prestigious marathon in London next month and are extremely grateful for all the hard work and effort that she has invested in with all her training in order to raise funds for our deaf children.

"We will no doubt be watching her progress and cheering her all the way to the finish line."

The runner's fundraising target is set at £500, with £450 already secured.

The marathon takes place on Sunday, April 21.
