A motorist has been arrested on suspicion of excess alcohol after the car they were driving struck the central reservation of the A14.
The police, ambulance and fire service attended the scene on the A14 westbound at Coddenham after they were alerted just before 7pm.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the female driver of the blue Peugeot 307 did not sustain any injuries, but had been arrested for excess alcohol.
The fire service made the vehicle safe and it was moved to a nearby lay-by.
Traffic is able to pass freely using the inside lane, but the outside lane is closed.
The accident is not believed to be causing any delays.
