SHOPLIFTERS have struck at a jewellers in Abbeygate Street, Bury St Edmunds.
Police were called to Collis and Son at just after 3.30pm this afternoon following the latest crime at jewellery shops in the prestigious shopping street in the past few months.
A police spokesman confirmed that detectives were investigating after valuable lighters and pens were snatched from the shop.
In the summer, Abbeygate Street jewellers Thurlow Champness, only a few doors away, was targeted by robbers who assaulted a member of staff and got away with a stash of valuable watches.
