FOR nearly seven decades Brian Smith lived 250 miles from the Suffolk family he never knew he had.
But today, the 68-year-old is getting to know his brother, sister and countless fellow relatives after an emotionally-charged reunion.
Mr Smith had grown up in Blackpool believing he was an only child after he was given up for adoption at six months by his mother Majorie Taber, who had given birth out of wedlock.
However, his daughter Julie uncovered details of his biological family through the internet.

He said: “It was awesome. I ended up with a sore throat because I was talking so much.
“We are all going to keep in touch now.”
